Todd Borka is a French illustrator who creates custom portraits from photographs. The shop as a whole offers a wide selection of custom portraits options. The whimsical portraits can be ordered as prints, on key chains or as unique pendants . Personalized jewelry seems to be all the rage lately, especially if you're familiar with most home party-based jewelry businesses. These pendants actually don't cost much more than a lot of charmed-based personalized jewelry and they are entirely unique, handcrafted and a perfect gift or (treat for yourself). I went to the Renaissance Festival last weekend. This is only the second year I've gone, and it's great fun. I've been slowly assembling costume pieces. I'm just beginning to learn to sew, and I'm not made of money so my costume is all clearance clothing I try to assembly to work for the time. We've gone on Pirate weekend both times so that's helped me fit in better. What I would really like is a corset. When I graduated from high school, I recieved several keepsake necklaces with the year or a little graduation cap on them. They were very sweet gifts, but I never wore any of them. They were given to me on the day of my graduation party. I didn't open them until the next day so I had no graduation-related occasion left for which to wear them. And when else do you where such specifically themed jewelry? I would advocate that cash is the best grad gift (college is expensive!), but if you want to give something more meaningful (or a trinket in addition to the money), these necklaces will offer inspiration and encouragement for years to come. Shop: goodbyefolk Why We Love It: A stunning pair of oxfords makes me weak in the knees. An adorable pair of saddle shoes takes me back to my childhood. Vintage-inspired high heels make me giddy. Beautiful boots bowl me over. And nearly everything from goodbyefolk has me saying goodbye savings account. Price Range: $210 - $320, with one outlier costing $950. Shop:  A Likely Story Why We Love It:  It's a bit of a mystery how this shop hasn't been featured several times as Etsy Shop of the Week. We've used it a few times in Project Design posts, but it's never had it's own feature, which is odd because Jael and I are lovers of books and words. This Etsy shop has everything you need to add a bookish touch to any outfit. Typewriter keys make up the bulk of the jewelry for a vintage look that just stepped out of the pages of a classic. Shop: Laura Galic Why We Love It: Jael Paris showed me this shop, and it is amazing. I want almost everything in it. It was really hard to narrow things down to avoid putting everything in the favorite items section. The clothes are stunning. Shop: The African Shop Why We Love It: During winter months, the grey of outside becomes oppressive. Add a "polar vortex" or whatever it was, and the whole winter thing becomes to miserable to bear.
