In an effort to learn their hopefully photoshopped origin, I discovered these "foot coverings" by Vibram. In case you really want to pay $70 to feel barefoot. While I can understand why some people want to feel that way, why do they come in white?

I understand they are supposed to be good for your feet and legs, as human beings were not meant to walk in shoes and don't walk properly in them, thus causing injury. So this is the next best thing to being barefoot.
This is the theory anyway.
I know the white ones are. I can see how certain types of athletes would really like them, but I'd like to know if there's any increase in broken toes when wearing them.
