The Ultimate Shoe Horror

Found the image at right during a random Google image search. My head is broken. You supply the witty caption.

In an effort to learn their hopefully photoshopped origin, I discovered these "foot coverings" by Vibram. In case you really want to pay $70 to feel barefoot. While I can understand why some people want to feel that way, why do they come in white?

These are indeed real shoes.

I understand they are supposed to be good for your feet and legs, as human beings were not meant to walk in shoes and don't walk properly in them, thus causing injury. So this is the next best thing to being barefoot.

This is the theory anyway.

That's bizarre.

The top ones?! Those can't be real.

I know the white ones are. I can see how certain types of athletes would really like them, but I'd like to know if there's any increase in broken toes when wearing them.
