Milan Fashion Week SS13: Emlio Pucci, Missoni, Roberto Cavalli
Emilio Pucci looked quite different and quite lovely this year. The
signature, print-covered collection took on solids with a focus on
texture. The prints were still used sparingly, and possibly to greater
effect.
Missoni also abandoned some of their brand signatures. The show opened in white and closed in black only showcasing Missoni prints in the middle instead of throughout the whole show. The typical heavy layering was toned down and done mostly with sheer fabrics.
Roberto Cavalli created intricate prints by mixing the lines signature animal prints with influence from Art Nouveau. The prints were made to accentuate the female frame. They mixed will the the varied textures, embellishments and cut outs.
