Many of the New York shows had a heavy use of bronzer or the nude look. We don't like either. Thankfully some designers were more colorful and fun. (Trend alert: blue eye makeup is coming back in a non-80s way.) Below is a gallery of beauty looks both imitable and enviable from Fashion Week. Which face is your favorite?

I liked a lot of them--the hot pink lashes, the silver eyes, the gold eye/red lipstick, the jade eyes, and the smoky green that looked like there was also peach. I sometimes like to wear burgundy and green.

October is the perfect month for anyone who loves a dramatic look. Because of Halloween, you can get away with more in the makeup department than you can the rest of the year. You want to try false eyelashes? Go for it. You want to color your eyebrows? Do it. Color outside the lines with eyeshadow? Why not? Live it up so much in October that people will think black lipstick in November is practically normal.
