Last weekend I went to the pet store to buy hay for my bunnies. Since the baby bunnies were too tired to come out to play, I spent some time staring at the birds. The more I listened to the pastel parakeets and red finches sing and tweet and trill at each other, the more I started to fantasize about a sun room full of plants and a large, lively birdcage in my theoretical dream house. (Said house will be in the middle of nowhere, but my friends will all have houses nearby. It could be just like college again but without the dictatorial communications professors.)
I've been a bird brain for a while. This comes as a surprise to no one who's seen my bird cage shower curtain, and I'm pleased to say I finally have Audubon posters for my guest room. Now avian fever can spread to my clothes too!
