My Dream Wardrobe

Most of my current corporate wardrobe was picked up at Banana Republic and Ann Taylor clearance sales, but if I had to rebuild the perfect closet, it would go as follows:
My splurge would be the Jackie O Classic sheath by Black Halo. They come out with a different color each season, but I'd stick with grey. It's classic but interesting. It would work for a meeting, presentation, meeting a client or running to dinner with my hubby. Plus, I can throw a shirt on it and wear it as a pencil skirt. This is a dress I'd plan to have forever, but the $350 price tag is alarming. Good thing it's 50% cheaper on ebay.
My major saves are blouses and skirts. Neither item is the focus point of my office look, so they don't need to be too interesting. I prefer good fabrics and colors here, but I may buy a few trend tops too. With the right cut, neither needs to be fitted so I pick up wool in April and linen in October.

patterned pencil skirt, New York & Company $42.46
pinstripe pencil skirt, Victoria's Secret $39.50

silk tie top, Max Studio $48
silk pleat blouse, Victoria's Secret $58
We won't talk pants because shopping for them makes me ragey, but am never without black and burgundy wide-leg dress pants.
Blazers are my statement items, so I end up with a blend of cheaper trend pieces and longer-lasting sale steals.
