New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2010

Who: Betsey Johnson
What it made us think of: Betsey Johnson
What we liked: Ruffles, party dresses, crazy prints, bright colors, super fun shoes
What we didn't: The hem lines were way up there, let's hope they come down when the clothes see production.
Who: Temperley London
What it made us think of: The Greatest Show On Earth, not because it's the greatest fashion show on Earth, but because of the circus theme.
What we liked: The Harlequin prints, circus costume inspired looks, ringmaster looks, the shoes!
What we didn't: The only thing I don't like is knowing I won't be able to afford these clothes come spring.

Who: Julian Louie
What it made us think of: At first, it just made me think of his fall show and bored me, but on a second viewing I saw the lovely details and the softening of his armor styling.
What we liked: Feminine armor details, great pants, detailed pleating
What we didn't: Even with only 21 looks, the show got a little redundant, but this is still a new designer to watch.
Who: Behnaz Sarafphor
What it made us think of: Slightly edgy tea-party dresses.
What we liked: The ladylike lace, prints and draping.
What we didn't: The collection felt scattered, as though it was trying to hit a bunch of trend even if they didn't fit the core aesthetic.
