London Fashion Week FW13: Temperley London, Erdem, Mary K.
We can't seem to escape the Hitchcock references this season. Temperley London took on Tippi Hedren, focusing on her role in The Birds. The feminine collection had a sixties vibe that was just a little dangerous.
Erdem kept with the Hitchcock theme by closing the show with the theme from Psycho. For Erdem this was a dark collection. The signature floral took on a eeriness in the dark tones. The darkness was successful. Sign me up for this horror flick.
Mary Katrantzou also went dark for the first time. Her scenic prints could easily play backdrop in a film featuring the femme fatales from the collections above. With her first collection void of vivid colors, Katrantzou showed off her silhouettes and let us see what she could design went prints weren't stealing the spotlight, even if the looks with prints still attracted my eye the most.
