I've been waiting Anthropologie's ruffled bra and panty set to go on sale. What it lacks in the sex appeal of Anya's retro ensemble, it makes up for in cute ribbons and ruffles. The set is available in cream and pink, rose and black, or grey and black, but I prefer the dark of the latter to offset the sweetness of the look. The bra was $58, which is silly for a cotton, wireless sleep bra, but the price has dropped to $29.95. That's at least worth thinking about. $30 for panties, however, is still laughable.
To be completely upfront, I'm not a fan of crochet anyway. It always reminds me of a hanging planter my mother preserved from the 70s. This crochet dress by All Saints may be cool layered over a body con dress, but it's absurd as a swimsuit coverup. First of all, it doesn't cover anything. Second, it will leave weird tan lines. Third, it's $75. You should know in the midst of your eye rolling that this $75 beach coverup is half off the original price of $150. How do you feel about this item as a coverup vs. as a dress? How do you feel about crochet in general? What would you pay for a swimsuit coverup? (I wouldn't pay more than $10 for something fun at Goodwill.)
