Love or Loathe: Tinted Moisturizer

In theory, tinted moisturizer is a great thing. You get the vitamins and such your skin needs plus a light touch of concealer. Trouble is, such products are usually one size fits all, so if it's not your shade, you can't use it. I bought some tinted eye cream a while back and unless I'm careful to blend it really well, the too dark shade makes me look tired. Since it's tinted, I have a tendency to only use it when I'm wearing makeup instead of wearing it daily.

Do you like tinted moisturizers or do you find them not as useful in practice as in theory?

Wow, synchronicity -- the last day or two I've been doing a lot of searches on-line for a good tinted moisturizer... meanwhile making my own by blending a Neutrogena moisturizer with a MAC tube foundation. ::shrug:: It works OK.

My "research" suggests Pixi makes a good one (Illuminating Tint and Conceal), which is on its way to me now via eBay.

I have had good luck with Urban Decay's tinted moisturizer (I got it in Halo and it's a bit dark, but I rub it in and then use some loose powder to get it back to my color). It's only $6 on sale :)

Oh, I forgot to mention that I got that tinted moisturizer because it has the SPF20 in it, which I require in all situations (even winter).
