Low-Heeled Shoes for Work

Want to add polish to your work wardrobe? Meeting a new client? Vieing for a promotion or even having your first interview? You may be in need of some professional footwear. These shoes mean serious business for two reasons:

1. Put your toes away. Sandals are for the weekends. Peep toes are for a date. And if you even thought about wearing flip-flops, you need more help than I can provide. Some companies (for reasons that only make sense in the male mind) even consider toes a modesty issue. Even if you find it warm for the season, covering your toes looks more professional.

2. Stay low. Ballet flats are a little casual-cute for the workplace, and high heels, well, they're too sexy. A one to two-inch heel is a good range for professional shoes.purple wingtip t-strap, Magdesians "Alex" at Nordstrom $119.95
pale patent pumps, Perlina "Princess" on Zappos $93
yellow ankle strap pump, Miz Mooz "Jamison on Endless $94.95
grey mary jane, Naturalizer "Janks" $39.99
taupe buckle wedge, Nine West "Ohdear" on Endless $78.95
brown alligator loafer, J. Renee "Fiorella" on Endless $84.95
blue buckle snakeskin pump, Sam Edelman "Hadley" on Amazon $59.58
two-tone pump, Naturalizer "Bohemia" $69.99

If you're worried about some of the colors, all of these shoes are available in conservative black and brown (I just couldn't handle that many neutrals on my page!).
