Love or Loathe: Nautical Print

We're not talking stripes. Oh no. I want to know what you think of this lobster print dress from Anthropologie. It reminds me of two things. First, it makes me think of the evening gown Elsa Schiaparelli made in the 1930s that incorporated a print of a giant lobster painted by Salvador Dali. Second, it makes me think of Ms. Frizzle from The Magic School Bus who always matched her dress and earrings to the field trip. I suppose if you're avant garde, quirky, or a very literal school teacher, the dress is just lovely.

Definitely love! I'd wear this with the 'Lobster' perfume by Demeter for the full nautical experience :)

I love it because its super kooky, and I'd assume anyone who wears it has a sense of humor and doesn't take themselves too seriously!

Hmm. I don't think I would have given it much thought in a store, but now that you've posed the question, I think I kind of love it.

I like it at least. I don't know that I'd add it to my wardrobe, but I like it.

I don't do a ton of prints in general--I like stripes, interesting dyes, dots; pretty basic graphic stuff. But these lobsters? No no no. I live in the land of the lobster, and maybe that's why I think it's less than fab.
