Poll: Who Are Your Style Icons

The term "style icon" has a pretty loose meaning. When you ask people for their style icons they often include a list of celebrities both well known and obscure followed by a short list of people like their mothers, sisters and best friends. A style icon in a more strict sense is anyone recognized by the public or a group as a person with a strong sense of personal style. This could be anyone from Audrey Hepburn to Lady Gaga to Jennifer Lopez to Jackie O to Madonna. Instead of leaving a list for you to vote on because an inclusive list of famous style icons would be impossible to compile, I'll just leave this poll open-ended. Who are your style icons?

I feel stupid saying it simply because she is in one of the photos. But definitely Audrey Hepburn because of her classic style.

I find inspiration in Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O. A modern date twist would be the Emma Pillsbury character on Glee.
I've always felt pretty inspired by Gwen Stefani's style--from her days of kool-aid hair punk to rockabilly glam to her Harajuku-inspired looks. She always looks like "Gwen" no matter what influences are visible in her wardrobe.

I have three that I rely on pretty heavily for inspiration: Zooey Deschanel, Emma Pillsbury from Glee, and Chuck from Pushing Daisies. Those ladies combined are what I want my wardrobe to be.

Cyndle has a good point about Gwen Stefani.

If I had to pick a person, I think I'd go with Cate Blanchett. Like Gwen, she always look like herself, no matter what she's wearing. She can swing from classy to funky while looking strong, bold and fabulous. I love a strong woman who plays with clothes.

I have always been inspired by three women: Audrey Hepburn who embodies grace, Olivia Palermo for her chic and Nicole Richie because she is casual.
