Editor's Pick of the Week: Fall Cowl Sweater
It's sweater weather!!! It's time for thick, opaque tights, a warm skirt, boots and a sweater! Sadly, I hate sweater shopping. The stores only stock traditional turtle necks (I hate things tight around my next) or too-short, ill fitting scoop neck sweaters with no imagination.
I love a warm, cozy sweater with fun details like dolman sleeves, diagonal cable knitting across the front or a cowl neckline. Cowl neck sweaters are my favorite because when you button a coat over them the neck bunches up like a built in scarf. So warm. So comfy. So cozy.
To ease my sad sweater shopping, I turn to Victoria's Secret. My mom gave me a VS sweater last Christmas. It's not only well made and comfy, but it's so chic. I feel like I'm going out in my PJs I'm so comfy, but I look fabulous.
This cowl neck sweater from Vicki's costs $49 (they really do have decent sweater prices and great sales at the holidays) and is a wool blend. This loose, comfy sweater will look great with pants and boots, but can be dressed up with a wide corset belt or a vest over it. Since it looks like a thinner sweater, I might even try tucking it in to a high waisted skirt or layering a shirt with an interesting collar under it. It comes in the picture orange (perfect for fall), blue and black. (Get the orange!)
