Alexander McQueen Spring Summer 2010

In the book The Hero With A Thousand Faces, Joseph Campbell says "A hero ventures forth from the world of common day into a region of supernatural wonder: fabulous forces are there encountered and a decisive victory is won: the hero comes back from this mysterious adventure with the power to bestow boons on his fellow man." While discussing evil queens, becca and I flipped through hundreds of designers only to conclude that hero or villain, the courtier of magic lands in Alexander McQueen.

From slaying Art Nouveau dragonsand beholding fractured visions of Narnia,
from befriending a starto addressing the court in Pan's Labyrinth
this is what your wear when you are both the hero and the villain of your own epic tale.

I keep watching the video of this show over and over. I also keep swooning at the site of the clothes and shoes over and over.
