New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2010

Who: Badgley Mischka
What it made us think of: Breezy, classic glamor
What we liked: The pretty, pretty dresses; all the black & white
What we didn't: While it was pretty, there wasn't anything uall that challenging about the collection
Who: Douglas Hannant
What it made us think of: Goddesses and the sculptures inspired by them
What we liked: Lovely draping, smart suits, flattering shapes
What we didn't: A couple tent-like dresses didn't make sense for anyone to wear, but they did fit the collection.
Who: J. Mendel
What it made us think of: Red carpet best dressed lists
What we liked: The mix of structured pieces and lovely, flowing gowns
What we didn't: We would have liked to see the structure and flowing fabrics mixed instead of each piece being one or the other
Who: Marchesa
What it made us think of: The most elegant crafts ever with the cutout details, oragami like kimono dresses, folded bows, and floral overlays
What we liked: Everything really
What we didn't: That no one is giving us these dresses
