Spring Summer 2009 Favorites So Far

New York Fashion Week kicked off Friday, but the only show I've liked so far is Jonathan Saunders. The color palette of robin's egg blue, mint green, orange, yellow, pistachio, hot pink and cotton candy pink is brilliant and perfect for spring. (Note the details of bright pink eyes, dark pink lips, and matching shoes.) I love the layering of colors in the skirts. It would seem like too much material, but judging by the beautiful way the material floats it must be light and gauzy.
The collection has several cute jackets. The details keep them from wandering into "congressman's wife" territory.
Pretty dresses! I can't expound on the obvious any more. As you as in love as I am?

I know practicality isn't necessarily a part of fashion shows, but are we supposed to be able to see the nipples of the model in the middle of the last group? I didn't know nips were in fashion this spring. Going to make going to the office rather awkward.

Models usually don't wear bras in fashion shows, and sheer is still big. Apologies for this (and possibly future) nipple shots.
