London Fashion Week Favorites So Far

Christopher Kane's dinosaur inspired show was a blast. He used 3D semicircles with enough variety that I could see some of these dresses on fashion mavericks like Chloe Sevigny or more demure yet fun starlets like Natalie Portman. I like the color palette of black, nude, pale pink and yellow, and bright orange.Giles Decon's show was inspired by graphic artists from the 1980s, but his silhouettes were overwhelmingly classic trapeze and even some rather 1950s Dior sex bomb. What makes them distinctly Giles were the prints -- a huge face here, metallic camouflage there, a bit of smuged polka dot. Also running through the show were ruffles of feathers or chiffon. Yes, yes, yes! to the dramatic winged eyes.Aquascutum's runway was blue and simply feminine. Overall, the lines were clean with a bit of ruffled flair. This isn't a label I've really paid attention to in the past, but consider me alerted.

Love the ones you picked.

The hues of blue here are outstanding. I think my favorite look is the lace city shorts, which I didn't even know existed, with the blue tie belt. I love these.
