Love or Loathe? Silver Shoes

I'd been wanting a pair of jazz shoes to wear the way other people wear Converse tennis shoes -- with everything. I wanted to wear them with dresses, jeans, trousers, or skirts, the simple or the outrageous. They just seem perfectly retro and comfy.

I've also been wanting a pair of metallic shoes. You can wear metallics with anything, but they instantly add spark to an outfit.

Look what I found! They're a discontinued style from Nina Dolls. I think they're so hideous they swing all the way 'round back to fabulous. I especially like the pointed toe, since pants frequently hide my tiny feet. However, not everyone is as into them as me. Are they a good sneaker substitute or should I buy a silver suit and start performing for tourists?

I think if you wear 'em with long pants, they'll look just fine because most of the profile will be hidden. The pointy toe will look good peeking out from under a pair of jeans or tailored black pants.

Anything that isn't full-length, though, is probably going to be a serious no. They're awkward-looking and sort of have the feeling that they were crafted in the secret of the night by an elf.

i love them... as a joke. they kind of look like somebody took some normal shoes and spray painted them silver. i feel like there needs to be some color gradiation. if they make you happy when you look down at your feet as you walk, though, get them! they'll put an elvin skip in your step.

I would wear those with just about everything I own, so...now I have to find a similar pair. Dammit.

ASOS had a pair with laces, but I believe they are sold out. It's not too hard to find silver jazz shoes, but finding them with pointy toes is a bear.

those are hardly silver..but either way, yucky. im not really a fan. i would like to see someone do something fantastic with them, I think someone like Sienna Miller would wear this well with a dress romper and a cute white blouse and some black tights. maybe opaque.
