Paris Fashion Week SS12: Dior, John Galliano

Who: Christian Dior
What it made us think of: The 1950s, when Dior was still big news, but less drama-rife.
What we liked: Hips!...
What we didn't: You can't help but feel bad for Bill Gaytenn, a long time Dior employee who's been tasked with designing in the post-Galliano interim. He's doing his best to make wearable, sellable clothing, but he spins me no dreams.Who: John Galliano
What it made us think of: Mary Poppins takes the kids to the park on a sunny Saturday afternoon.
What we liked: plaid, full skirts, boater hats, loafer shoes, Victorian jackets, rounded sleeves. Bill Gaytten seems much more confident helming this lower profile house than he does Dior.
What we didn't: terrible bangs

O.M.G. I LOVE THISE PASTEL/CANDY COLORED SHOES FROM JOHN GALLIANO.

And I usually don't type in all caps. Gawd, if they ever have those rip offs for <$100, I might have to make an exception in my shoes budget.
