Fall Couture 2012

Almost two years of speculation over who would replace John Galliano as head designer of Christian Dior and we finally have both an answer and a show: Raf Simons formerly of Jil Sander. Looking at these clothes, I feel completely underwhelmed.

Versace looks like comic book collages. So glad they're back in the couture game.

When the birds fly home to nest at dusk and the stars begin to twinkle to life, Armani finds inspiration.

Giambattista Valli was supposed to be reminiscent of a garden, but the red prints look like blood stains and the whole things has a feeling of the overrun garden at a decaying, haunted gothic manor. It follows that I love it.
